Huawei’s products and solutions are deployed in over 100 countries and serve over one billion users worldwide. Challenge - • During the crucial period for global telecom transformation, Huawei needed to change its corporate identity to demonstrate its readiness and capability to take on future opportunities and challenges. • The new brand identity had to be a statement of the changes taking place at Huawei. It had to reflect its transition from a traditional, local brand to a modern, international one; from a techonology-focused company to a customer-focused one. Strategy - A new corporate identity system was developed to reflect the principles of: • customer-focus • innovation • steady and sustainable growth • harmony The system conveys Huawei's enterprising spirit and commitment to continuous innovation helping customers achieve network transformation and launch a variety of competitive services. Result - On May 8th 2006, Huawei announced its new corporate logo worldwide, replacing the old logo which has been used for 18 years. The launch increased awareness among the media and the telecommunications industry.
