Summary: Industry Setting/Challenge - Zsiska rebrand from the Zahara handmade fashion jewellery moniker was initiated when its designer identified the need for an image more in line with the unique style and concept of the jewellery itself. The new brand image revolves around the truly trendy high fashion jewellery from the Dutch designer. Strategy - Taking the Z from Zahara and combining it with the designer’s name, creating the name “Zsiska” and retaining the use of red, Zahara’s theme color, maintained a bit of recognition continuity from the old brand. All the design items have a minimal, simple and yet unique design feel with the hint of an idea behind a transparent layer. Beginning with the logo, the symbol of a bead incorporated into the designer’s signature as a string of beads, the con-cept was carried through all design aspects including shop layout, shopping bags, packag-ing, etc. Result - The target audience response to the rebranding was immediate and outstanding. The re-sulting success has seen more Zsiska shops opening in many parts of the world including the Netherlands, Japan, Korea, and China. In addition the popularity has lead to Zsiska product line expansion to include “Zsiska His” and “Zsiska Girls’” with others in the works.
